Your day starts early with a pick-up from your accommodation in Dar es Salaam, followed by a scenic drive to Mikumi National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of the Uluguru Mountains and pass through rural villages, giving you a glimpse of Tanzania’s diverse landscapes.

Upon arrival at Mikumi, you’ll embark on a thrilling game drive across the park’s open savannahs. Mikumi’s ecosystem is part of the larger Selous ecosystem, meaning the park is teeming with wildlife. During the game drive, keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos) along with other species such as wildebeests, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife.

Halfway through your safari, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by the stunning wilderness. Relax and refuel while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature before continuing your game drive in the afternoon.

After lunch, continue your game drive, taking in more of Mikumi’s remarkable wildlife. As the day comes to a close, you’ll make your way back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the early evening.
