About the Tour

Kite surfing in Zanzibar is popular due to its consistent winds and stunning coastal spots. Key areas for kite surfing include Paje Beach, known for its shallow waters and reliable winds, and the more advanced spots like Kendwa and Nungwi. The best time to kite surf is from June to October, during the trade wind season.

A typical day trip for kite surfing in Zanzibar usually starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel, around 7:00 AM. After arriving at the kite surfing center, you’ll receive a briefing and gear fitting. You’ll then head to the kite surfing spot, such as Paje Beach, where you’ll spend several hours on the water, with breaks for refreshments and instruction if needed. The session includes time for practicing or taking lessons, depending on your skill level. After a few hours of kite surfing, you’ll return to the center, often for a late lunch or relaxation before being transported back to your hotel by late afternoon or early evening. Be sure to check the weather conditions and bring swimwear, sunscreen, and a towel.
